The Cartomancer's Daybook

Across centuries, women have quietly shuffled cards at kitchen tables, in ship cabins, in crowded parlors, and darkened séance rooms. Their fortunes rarely made the history books, but their hands moved the cards anyway — from simple playing-card lots to Lenormand, Sibilla, tarot, and oracles.

In this 5-week series we follow those women through time: village healers condemned as witches, bourgeois girls telling harmless parlor fortunes, emigrants learning cards at sea, Sibilla readers in gossip-laced towns, and Victorian spiritualist mediums whose practices echo forward into our own work as modern readers.

Each week pairs a slice of historical context, tips on reading drawn from that era, a woman-centered archetype and themed spread, and a creative practice — collaborative oracle-making or a daybook journaling challenge, writing in the voice of a woman living with the cards in her own time.

Starts tomorrow, July 18, 2026 — 5 Saturdays, 11am EST, 3 hours per class. Some prior experience with tarot or cartomancy is helpful but not required; bring a deck of cards, any system. Handouts go out as the class begins, so all sales are final.

Filmed live and available for playback — watch whenever it suits you.

Handouts and materials go out as each class begins, so all class sales are final.
